The serial number is the same between the 2 versions (its a free upgrade) so I didnt have to enter a new one. Then I updated to the last version of SuperDuper (from 2.5 to 2.6.2) and it solved the problem. Restarting the computer or the external hard drive didnt help. He led me through my very first setup issues with a faulty USB hard drive very patiently until my issue was completely resolved. I am fully satisfied with Daves extremely quick and reliable email support. If you have any issues, I advise you, to contact Dave at the shirtpocket site (you might have to buy a license, to qualify for his email support). I have no issues whatsoever with SuperDuper or the backups it creates.
